Arnold Family Farm
About Us
The history behind the farm..
We, Randy and Vicki Arnold, bought 60 acres of our farm in 1990, with plans to build breeder hen houses and have beef cattle. By November of that year, two hen houses were ready for birds, and a few years later we built a third. When the 60 acres adjacent to the farm became available, we doubled the size of the farm. In 2010, we began looking to diversify the farm and saw a need in our community because there was no longer anyone growing strawberries. We started with just a half acre, and the strawberry field quickly grew to the five acres it is today. We sold strawberries from a shed near the field until 2013, when we built a store on the farm. It provided a nicer place for customers to buy berries, and also a cooler and inspected kitchen to make jams. In the store, we also sell seasonal produce grown on our farm and other local farms, and beef grown on our farm. The store is open from mid-April through summer. Just last year we built a new Shed by the field to better serve our you-pick customers.
